The Picture of Dorian Gray

The Picture of Dorian Gray
Oscar Wilde 2003
Barnes and Noble Classics

Summary:
Celebrated novel traces the moral degeneration of a handsome young Londoner from an innocent fop into a cruel and reckless pursuer of pleasure and, ultimately, a murderer. As Dorian Gray sinks into depravity, his body retains perfect youth and vigor while his recently painted portrait reflects the ravages of crime and sensuality.
Personal Review:
A wonderful  neo-horror drama. Sometimes the plot just disappears. It takes a while for the story to really get going but it is really good. The story is about a young man who wishes for eternal youth. Having his wish granted he stays young while his picture shows all his sins. He ruins others lives for his own. He meets a young woman and she kills herself because he no longer loves her. He kills his friends and ruins his life.
