I took a one month break from blogging AND reading so I haven't touched 'Northanger Abbey". Sorry about that. Next Tuesday as promised, I will post on that book really sorry but I needed a break.

A place somewhere between a readers heaven, the tea stand, and the local shops. Unfortunately you can't have all at once. As Audrey Hepburn said, "If I'm honest I have to tell you I still read fairy-tales and I like them best of all."

The Maid of Fairbourne Hall
The Maid of Fairbourne Hall
Julie Klassen 2012
Bethany House Publishers
Summary:
Margaret is a spoiled rich girl who's father is trying to marry her off. This is a Cinderella type story. Well, Margaret decides to run away with her servant Joan. She ends up working in Fairbourne Hall under two former suitors. Nathaniel is the most prominent. She had rejected him but she soon sees him in a better light as she learns hard work. She sees the error of her ways and becomes a better person. A predictable plot but this was much better than The Girl in the Gatehouse.
